From Bookshops to Bridgewalks: A Post-Conference Road Trip

Work took me to Columbus, Ohio, for our company’s annual conference, ASPEN25—a whirlwind of sessions, smiles, and inspiring conversations. But when the name tags came off, the real adventure began. After the conference, I slipped into explorer mode. I wandered through the endless rooms of The Book Loft, where every corner seemed to whisper stories. Then came a mind-bending experience at Otherworld, an immersive art museum that felt like walking through a dream you didn’t want to wake up from. The road led me past the striking John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge, a beautiful sight even from the car window. From there, I made my way to Cincinnati’s quirky Mushroom House and a visit to the historic Wright Brothers Cycle Shop, where two young inventors laid the groundwork for flight. The journey continued into West Virginia, where I stood before the ancient Grave Creek Mound and strolled the peaceful, spiritual grounds of New Vrindaban, a village rooted in devotion and quiet reflection. And of course, no trip would be complete without food. Thanks to a proud local coworker, I got a taste of the iconic Cincinnati Chili—unexpected, spiced just right, and best enjoyed with stories around the table. Scroll through the gallery below for glimpses of books, bridges, bold art, aviation dreams, and roadside wonders. Let me know which moment speaks to you the most.Work took me to Columbus, Ohio, for our company’s annual conference, ASPEN25—a whirlwind of sessions, smiles, and inspiring conversations.
